  J. Bert Carlson has combined a career of music and ministry, with stints as parish pastor and church musician in Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Since 1960, his works for choir, congregation, organ and piano have been in the catalogues of twelve American publishers. A member of ASCAP, he has contributed to four American hymnals, including the Lutheran Book of Worship, With One Voice and Evangelical Lutheran Worship. Active as a recitalist and clinician, he served on the Commission of Worship of the Lutheran Church in America. Carlson is a graduate of the American Conservatory of Music, Chicago, where he was a scholarship pupil of Leo Sowerby; the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago; Duquesne University; and the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. He holds a Master’s degree in organ and composition, a Doctor of Ministry in liturgical studies, and the rank of Associate in the American Guild of Organists.
  
  
• Misty Fiske, Organist/Choir Director
  
  Misty has been involved with church music serving as first a pianist and later an organist since 1993. Since 1996 she has served as a choir director and accompanist as well, also accompanying a school choir part time. Misty has been a member of several local choirs, including the Cumberland County College chorus and the Trojan Alumni Chorus. After several years of being the assistant organist she took a full time organist position in 2007, and joined Redeemer Luther an Church as the organist/choir director in 2008. Misty is currently pursuing a degree in music education specializing in organ and voice at Rowan University.
